Wiki background

I was just thinking, maybe we should add a background image to the Wiki instead of it just being a plain green, (Make it like in this Wiki where you can see two of the game characters in the background, maybe we could have Croc on the left and Baron Dante on the right, or maybe like in this Wiki where you can just see an area from the game [Although I'm not sure which Croc area we would add.]) Anyway I just want to know people's opinions on this and if you think it is a good idea. If no one disagrees then I might make a temporary background, add it and if people like it keep it, if it turns out to not look good then we can always go back to the green we have right now.

Sure, it was only an idea. We need to place screenshots from both games in good resolution tho, and that will be hard a little since you can't make a screenshot in high resolution from old game like Croc (or maybe I am wrong?)

Well, as I said, since normal Croc screenshot resolution is not enough to fill each side we could have two-three images on each side like this (Note that the images used are placeholders). Maybe we could make it so the top left is the first area of Croc 1, the bottom left is the final battle with Baron Dante from Croc 1, the top right is the first area from Croc 2 and the bottom right area is the final battle in Croc 2. Do you think this is good or should we choose different areas?

It's actually a very good idea! But keep in mind that they could be cleverly edited - they shouldn't be linked like on your screenshot (I know that actual images are used as placeholders, I just mean the style of placing those screenshots on both sides). They should be smooth faded or something to look nice. Anyway, I love your idea!

Ok, I'll probably try to add a smooth fade in between the images, but I'll do that tomorow though, because it's very late here and I'm going to go sleep now, so tomorow I'll make the next test and also I will temporarilly add it to the Wiki to see if it fits correctly.

Ok, I blurred the edges of the images a bit, here it is.

PS. I'll add the background to the wiki to see if it fits, it will only stay as a background for a minute at most, I just wanted to say it so no one is confused if they see this picture as a background.

Looks great! Love to see how it looks like.

I tested the backgrounds and they were too big, I need to experiement a bit to see which size fits best, but my PC has a few minor problems right now that make it unusable (I'm using a friend's PC to write this message) so I won't be able to use it to make the background for a few days :(

How are you guys? Any progress on Wiki background? :P

I'm ok, I've been better though. I kinda forgot about the background, I'm not really sure if I really like the idea of a background anymore, I'm so used to the plain green it would probably be weird to have a different background. If you still want it though I guess I could probably try to make something.

I don't care about background that we will use to be honest, I was just curious about progress. Old and nice plain green works as well. Good to hear that you're ok, Chris :)
