Croc Questions

Hey everybody, so a couple of days ago I contacted Simon Keating (The original Croc creator) asking him if he would mind answering a few questions about Croc (Mostly stuff like the names of certain things in the Croc games in order to put them on the Wiki.) He said yes so I'm going to send him some questions soon, so if you have any questions for him just say it in this thread and I'll ask them too.

EDIT: The questions have been sent, please do not post any more.

Well here's hoping for Mr Gimmick to return to the wiki!

Then again, pigs might fly...

Also I asked if he would mind us sending him some more questions at some point in the future and he said sure. So if anybody has any more questions just ask them here and maybe one day I'll send them to him.

Also we could at some point try to contact some other Croc developers to ask them questions that we cant ask Simon (Like questions for Croc 2 since Simon didn't work on that.)

What other questions did he reply to?

I sent him around a dozen questions, but he couldn't reply to the ones about Croc 2 (When I sent them I didn't know that he didn't actually work on Croc 2) or a question about a Croc 3, and he also couldn't answer the ones about the betas, so the only ones left were a few about stuff in the Wiki, for example:

Q: Is the Croc timeline correct?

A: Maybe. I recall working on the earliest design probably even as early as 1994 but I may be wrong.

Q: What are the names of the enemies in Croc 1, are the names on this article http://croc.wikia.com/wiki/Enemies correct?

A: Some are but some aren't: The executioner was actually called 'Grimmy' in all the designs. Jonnie Bee Goode, Ballistic Meg etc are all correct. I also remember names such as Chumly the Rocket Man...but it's been a while.

Some others were about some theories and if they are true

Q: There is a theory that Croc's parents are not his real parents and that they are the product of magic by Baron Dante, is this true?

A: No, it's not true.

And there were some about stuff I personaly always wondered about like:

Q: Are there any female Gobbos or Dantinis?

A: Of course! It's just very hard to tell the difference, but usually their smell gives it away.

Q: Did the story for Croc change at all during development?

A: Nope. I came up with it in my sketch book, presented it to the people in charge and they ran with it.

These are most of the questions that he could answer, if I had known he didn't work on Croc 2 I wouldn't have sent him questions he couldn't answer (For example I asked about Cowboy Village and if there were any other cut villages but he didn't know the answer.)

As I said before we should gather a few more questions and send them to him at some point.

Fantastic! It seems he doesn't mind answering questions about it. I might suggest about 1-2 months per set of questions just in case he is busy with work etc.

At the moment i can't think of any other questions. Any ideas who to ask for Croc 2?

Another thought, I know there have been named creatures etc. in the early designs, but it's possible they may have been changed in the final game...

I think we should try to contact Nic Cusworth next, although I don't know his e-mail adress, so I'll look for it at some point.

As for the changed names, it is a possibility that some names were changed since the early designs so if we contact Nic Cusworth we can ask him about that.

Thank you Hotchoc, I did search a little bit and I found Nic's Twitter account and his website, I'll search more but I don't intend to contact him yet since I don't really have many questions right now, once I come up with some then I'll contact him.
